MEXICO FDA LEGALIZES & REGULATES BREAKTHROUGH STEM CELL TREATMENTS, SECURING MEXICO’S FUTURE AS THE REGION'S MEDICAL TOURISM LEADER
Recognizing the place of stem cell treatments in the future of medicine, the highly respected Mexican FDA federal health regulator has brought Regenerative Medicine out into the open and regulated it with a world’s first formal licensing system.
Through standards set from years of international cooperation and investigation, only clinics and hospitals meeting these exceptional international standards are eligible to be regulated.
The application process takes up to one year, and clinics and their MD’s must demonstrate expert understanding and experience in the safe and effective sourcing, handling and treatment using stem cells.
Only fully licensed and regulated Laboratories may supply the Stem Cells, Exosomes and Growth Factors known collectively as Regenerative Medicine. Any types of embryonic or foreign produced cells are prohibited.
It is well known that paid regenerative stem cell treatments have been available to paying patients in the ‘grey’ market in USA and Mexico for around 10 years. Celebrities and sports superstars have joined regular people in seeking out stem cells for medical conditions, joint repair, beauty, skin-aesthetics and anti-aging. It’s true the results have generally been excellent and with extremely few complications, but they were still ‘grey’, until now.
Recent treatment technology advances, combined with reducing costs, have made it correct timing to regulate the industry.
