David Kohlstaedt “DK29” On Massive Winning Streak as the Racing Season Reaches its Halfway Point

Seattle, WA: David Kohlstaedt, 17, a Junior Cup Motorcycle Road Racer with MotoAmerica and sponsored by race team Veloce Racing, had an incredible race weekend at Weathertech Raceways, Leguna Seca bringing home trophies from all three of his races at one of the most renowned race tracks in the US.  WeatherTech Raceway Leguna Seca hosted MotoAmerica’s Round #5, where Kohlstaedt entered in both of STG Junior Cup class races on a Kawasaki Brand Ninja 400 and also in Roland Sand’s Super Hooligan’s Race on an Indian Brand FTR1300.

This is David’s 7th podium finish for the race season as well as his 5th consecutive podium finish to date and is in 5th place overall in Championship points.  Notably, Roland Sand’s personal invitation to ride his FTR1300 in the Super Hooligans Race was a highlight as Kohlstaedt not only had the lap speed record for the race, but also lead across the finish line with a stylish wheelie performance.

Of David’s recent success, Roland Sands, of Roland Sands Designs said, “He [David] has been riding Super Hooligan for a few years and I’ve always liked his style.  He’s loose and always looks like he’s having fun.  He’s our youngest ‘hooligan’ and he’s got a bright future on two wheels.”

David Kohlstaedt (DK29), backed by his race team Veloce Racing (Crew Chief and veteran road racer Nobi Iso), Father (Dave Kohlstaedt) and mentor/mechanic (Tim O’Mahony), is working hard to improve upon his success and maintain the momentum to finish the second half of the season stronger than the first half.  With only 4 more rounds for the 2021 season, David is even more inspired from the recent winnings and looking to not only secure a championship finish but to also attract sponsorship for the future of his road racing career.
