Veteran Opens a Platform to Offer Moral Support to Members of the Black Community

2021-04-12 09:00:00 - Charlotte, NC

A 27-year-old disabled veteran who is also an unsigned rapper (YK Tr3) from one of the most dangerous forgotten about cities in America, Vicksburg, Mississippi has created a platform to offer moral support to members of the black community. The platform known as P.A.I.N.byTr3 is intended to spread positivity by encouraging the members of the black community to realize their life goals.

Born Adam Da’vis Reed III in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the young rapper presents himself as a young MC but he’s much more. As a maverick and young hustler who has a mission of changing Mississippi’s rap culture, he has so far recorded 100+ songs and visited different neighborhoods in Mississippi to talk matters mental awareness and health. By blending the lyrical routes of his hometown with the melodic sound of today, Tr3’rap is likely to be embraced by the hip hop world.

While speaking about his platform, the 27-year old emphasized the need for healing for the members of the black community.

“We created this platform to spread positivity after years of witnessing a vicious cycle of hurt, especially within the black community. Negative experiences, which are on an individual, cultural, and systemic level, leaves us in unmeasurable PAIN. Understanding that you must GO through the PAIN to GET through the PAIN is a lesson I have learned the hard way.”

The exquisite designs used on the website also speak more about his mission. The broken heart symbolizes the PAIN and the teardrops in between the letters are a reminder to deal with the PAIN. By healing, one can change their mindset leading to a POSITIVE ATTITUDE even IN NEGATIVE SITUATIONS.

About Tr3

Tr3 is a 27-year-old disabled veteran who is also an unsigned rapper (YK Tr3) from one of the most dangerous forgotten about cities in America, Vicksburg, MS. He attended Texas southern university in Houston for undergraduate school. His brand was established in late 2019 because he wanted to spread mental health awareness to underserved communities in which mental health is stigmatized and avoided. He carried this out by merging mental health and the hood mentality with the hope that people like him who grew up in survival mode unlearn maladaptive behaviors and thoughts by using the PAIN from their experiences to get them out of the struggle mentality and physically. His mission is to spread awareness, give back to his hometown and community, and break generational curses not only for himself but also to help others through his brand and music.
