Gold Consulting Partner Virsys12 announces that it has been recognized for its technology strategy and implementation of Salesforce Health Cloud for Nashville-based 180 Health Partners. The start-up organization helps expectant mothers have healthy deliveries of babies free from opioid-dependency, known as Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). The 180 Health Partners team helps mothers in the program access resources and achieve stability using Health Cloud to track its multi-modal engagement options including text, online, phone, email, home visits, and other exchanges with social workers, nurses, and peer counselors.

For this innovative work, Virsys12 has been named a recipient of the Salesforce Partner Innovation Award in Healthcare and Life Sciences. The award was presented at Dreamforce 2017, described by Salesforce as the most inspiring technology event of the year and the world's largest gathering of Trailblazers. This is the first Partner Innovation Award for Virsys12.

Early 180 Health Partners results* reflect babies born to mothers in their program have seen a 71.4% decrease in neonatal intensive care hospital stay. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the average cost of a baby born with NAS is $66,700, compared with $3,500 for a healthy delivery. The 180 Health Partners business model is based on contracting with healthcare payers (Medicaid, Exchange products and fully insured plans) to share the savings from a healthy delivery.
