November 10, 2017 – With a presence in more than 80 countries and an online store that accepts four currencies, Premier Ship Models appointed Winston with the aim of providing enhanced support for its team and customer base in North America. Originally from St. John’s Newfoundland, Mr. Scoville currently lives in Clinton, Ontario, where Premier Ship Models has one of its key offices.

Mr. Scoville currently works as a sales and promotions manager at Cos Phi, a Canadian company that specializes in designing, manufacture, application and servicing of Power Quality and Power Factor electrical equipment. Kip Scoville has been with Cos Phi since 2000.

With a passion for model ships and being an active member of the online modeling community for more than 10 years, Mr. Scoville also runs two websites dedicated to model ship building. The first website, Modelshipbuilder.com, is an online community that boasts international membership, while the second site, Navyboardmodels.com, is a useful research and information resource site for model ship building enthusiasts.

Mr. Scoville has a particular interest in creating ship models that are based on archeological findings, working with a group of modelers and researchers to bring historical vessels back to life. One such project is the HMS Sapphire, a ship that rests in Bay Bulls, Newfoundland, where it was intentionally wrecked by its captain to avoid capture by the French in the 1696s. Winston has spent the last 10 years researching this vessel in order to create an accurate model.

Winston (Kip) Scoville is also an active member of the Canadian Nautical Research Society (CNRS), a group that is dedicated to creating awareness regarding Canadian as well as world maritime heritage. Mr. Scoville is on the executive council of the CNRS. In addition, he is also a production/distribution manager of the Argonauta a quarterly publication of the CNRS.

With such passion for everything maritime and experience in both research and creation of historically accurate ship models, Premier Ship Models believes that Mr. Scoville will be a key asset for the company in North America, helping the firm further its commitment to complete client satisfaction through the provision of the highest quality and most accurate models and kits.
