December 06, 2017 – SEATTLE, WA -Ticket to Dream Foundation is always in the spirit of giving and even moreso this month as they have just released the winners of this year’s Dream It’s Possible grants. With 25,000 foster children between the ages of 18-21 aging out of foster care yearly, the goal of Ticket to Dream Foundation’s Dream It’s Possible program is to arm foster youth with support programs that help them graduate high school, enroll in college or vocational training, learn valuable life skills, obtain access to technology, and ensure that they have proper housing ready for their transition to independent living. These resources are made possible by the co-hosted Mattress Firm Charity Golf Classic and through generous supporters and donors.

With this goal as the foundation, Ticket to Dream is proud to support the following impactful programs from agencies across the country:

Keeping with the spirit, Ticket to Dream is excited to announce its very necessary Holiday Season Giving opportunities. We know the holiday season brings families together but for the nation’s 400,000 foster children, this time of year can feel especially isolating. With that said, they strive to bring some magic to those children and families during this time. Some ways you can be part of the seasonal giving are through:

Ticket to Dream’s Gift of Play, which is active till December 31st, gifts a child a day of experiences to cherish; fun wonder and adventure can be given through your online donation.

Let your holiday shopping support with BEARPAW’s Boot for Boot Program. Properly-fitting shoes are essential items that boost foster kids’ self-esteem and confidence. This holiday season BEARPAW is partnering with Ticket to Dream to provide thousands of pairs of warm, comfortable and fashionable boots but we need your help! Just purchase a pair of boots at www.bearpaw.com from Nov. 24-Dec. 11, and BEARPAW will donate a pair of boots to a foster child.

Give Santa a helping hand this Christmas by donating new unwrapped toys at any Mattress Firm store by Dec. 17th and they’ll be matched with a foster child. Mattress Firm Foster Kids, a program of Ticket to Dream is looking to help thousands of foster youth across the country experience the joy of the holidays but they need your help.
