Thomas Charles Grassia Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who

   WAYLAND, MA, December 11, 2017 — Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Thomas Charles Grassia with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Grassia celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than 40 years of legal experience, Mr. Grassia is a respected lawyer, educator and writer in the field of law. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, as well as before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and Supreme Court of the United States. In an effort to remain active and engaged in the field of law, Mr. Grassia maintains involvement with the Massachusetts Bar Association, American Bar Association and American Arbitration Association. Additionally, he is a former chairman and member of the Board of Advisors with the Salvation Army in Framingham, Massachusetts, as well as a member of the Massachusetts Conveyancer Association, New England Speakers Bureau and Helicopter Association International. Mr. Grassia is a former president and chairman of the board of directors with the New England Helicopter Council (formerly the New England Helicopter Pilots Association).

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Grassia has contributed numerous articles to professional publications pertaining to his areas of focus. A respected writer, he is credited as the author of “Campfires,” which was published in 2000. Mr. Grassia has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World. He was also selected for inclusion in the 3rd edition of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America and the 4th through 15th editions of Who's Who in American Law. In 2003, Mr. Grassia received the Augusta Community Service Award from Helicopter Association International.

Prior to pursuing a career in law, Mr. Grassia attended Boston University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1968. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Jurisprudence at Suffolk University Law School in 1974. During this time, Mr. Grassia served as an assistant vice president with Plymouth Rubber Company as well as a partner with P.T.S. Computer Services. Since completing formal education, Mr. Grassia has served as a partner with numerous firms located throughout Massachusetts, including D'Angio & Grassia, Grassia & Associates, P.A., Grassia, Murphy & Whitney, and Grassia, Murphy & Lupan.

Although he is now retired, Mr. Grassia has continued to serve select clients as a sole practitioner since 2012. He has been an active member of the Sherborn Massachusetts Emergency Medical Committee, as well as the town's long planning committee and a member with the Metropolitan Boston Hospital Council. He has held numerous additional roles with the Town of Sherborn, including as a member of the police chief selection committee, Board of Selectmen and Board of Health. For more than two decades, Mr. Grassia served as a member and team leader with the Sherborn Fire and Rescue Department. He is a former member of Leonard Morse Hospital Medical Advisory Board.
