Travelers Protective Association Scholarship Trust Awards Over $26,000 in Grants

The charitable arm of the Travelers Protective Association (TPA), the Scholarship Trust for the Hearing Impaired, awarded 56 grants to people across 22 states, including 30 Missouri residents. The recipients range from 1 to 76 years of age. Established in 1975, the Scholarship Trust for the Hearing Impaired provides financial aid to people with deafness or hearing loss.

“We are honored to support these recipients in helping them live their best lives,” says Albert Shoemaker, TPA’s Chief Administrative Officer. “It makes us very proud to see the mission of the Scholarship Trust continue to succeed,” Shoemaker says.The grants will help people with hearing loss get the help and resources they need, including hearing devices, specialized treatments, speech classes, note-takers, interpreters and more.Persons who experience deafness or a hearing loss can apply for aid at www.tpahq.org/scholarshiptrust/.
