2018 World Dog Surfing Champion Gets The Snub This Year

07/16/2019 05:00 - LOS ANGELES, CA - (PR Distribution™)

Do you have what it takes to be the 2019 World Dog Surfing Champion? Well, you could be if you received an invite from the event host. Surf Gidget the Pug is the current 2018 World Dog Surfing Champion and she has been snubbed from getting her invite to retain her title. There’s a Dog Surfing Competition held in Pacifica, 20 minutes  from San Francisco, CA and this year it's held on August 3rd 2019. Surf Gidget has her surfboards packed and is ready for a road trip to the Bay Area to defend her title, however the event management is still silent with no explanation.

You may ask yourself, 'WHY?' That's also a question on everyone's lips that follows this talented, Southern California little pug on Instagram, where Surf Gidget has over 86K followers. A fan from Florida asked 'What's the point of having a championship without the champion there to defend her title?' Another from Maine inquired: 'How is that possible?'

Support for Gidget has flooded in from across the globe, from as far as Australia and the UK.

All eyes will be on Gidget this summer to see what will happen. Check out Gidget's IG Page for the latest updates.
