AERBETIC NAMED A CES 2020 INNOVATION AWARD HONOREE

11/12/2019 07:00 - (BIRMINGHAM, AL) - (PR Distribution™)

AerBetic, Inc. today announced that it has been named a CES® 2020 Innovation Awards Honoree for AerBetic™, its non-invasive wearable diabetes alert device. An annual program that celebrates outstanding design, the CES Innovation Awards recognizes honorees across 28 product categories. A panel of judges, including designers, engineers and members of the tech media, reviews submissions based on design, functionality, consumer appeal, engineering and how the products compare with competition. CES 2020 takes place January 7-10 in Las Vegas.

The AerBetic wearable devices use MEMS-based nano gas sensors from San Diego-based AerNos to analyze the exhaled breath of its wearer in order to detect potentially dangerous blood glucose levels. In addition to led and haptic cues on the device, AerBetic’s partner app can alert a network of caregivers. The app also enables the wearer or caregiver to input actual blood glucose levels, which over time will help the AerBetic more finely tune to an individual’s unique breath signatures.

CEO Arnar Thors said the inspiration for the concept came from Diabetic Service Dogs.

“Being selected as a CES 2020 Innovation Award Honoree, particularly in the Health and Wellness category, is something we’re proud of.” said Thors. “Our mission with this technology is to truly change the lives of people worldwide.”

The CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, owner and producer of CES, the world’s largest and most influential technology event. CTA has been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.

AerBetic will be on display in the Innovation Awards Showcase at CES 2020 as well as in the AerNos booth 42137 in the Sands Expo. To learn about AerBetic at CES or to schedule a meeting during CES 2020 visit AerBetic at CES.
