Aloria Health is excited to host the office of Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) on August 23rd to discuss how the Affordable Care Act intersects with the provision of care for individuals with eating disorders and other mental health issues. During the visit the Senator's office will tour the facility, experience components of a typical care day, and gain a richer understanding of the complex nature of eating disorder care.
Aloria Health is honored that the Senator’s office is willing to engage in a discussion around essential health benefits, preexisting conditions, accessibility and affordability of eating disorder care in Wisconsin, and how we can increase access to care for those who desperately need it.
Lee Neagle, Executive Director of The Aloria Institute, remarked regarding the visit, "Only through conversations like this and actively working together can we reduce the stigma of eating disorders and other mental health issues and recreate an environment in which those that need help can receive it."
