Anita Belle is the Green Party candidate for Michigan House District 7 representing Detroit and Highland Park. Belle is a reparations activist campaigning that America is less than 5 years away from paying reparations to blacks and Native Americans
“The next gold rush is in outer space. America, through NASA, is part of that gold rush. Currently, it takes NASA’s rockets 7 months to get to Mars and 4 years to get to the asteroid belt. Melanin could help America get to Mars and the golden asteroid belt faster than competitors in Russia, China, India, Europe, etc. Black people have the most melanin, not just in our skin but in our hair. Imagine how rich we could all be, as a nation, if we worked together!”
Belle is running for the Michigan House seat because Michigan is vying to be the aerospace capital of America. “The Covid-19 pandemic is expensive enough to throw the world into an economic depression, but a space rock called Psyche exists in the asteroid belt with enough gold to pay $1 billion to each of Earth’s 8 billion people. America owes $7 billion in reparations to each African American. There are approximately 50 million African Americans. My vision is a win-win for America: African Americans work with NASA to help America reach Psyche first. Then, there would be enough gold for America to completely pay off its $27 trillion national debt and its historic debt owed to African Americans and the indigenous. Each American could then receive $93 billion while blacks and the indigenous could receive an extra $7 billion, at least. We have five years in which it'll be truer than ever that if we don't learn how to live together as brothers and sisters, Americans will certainly perish together as fools. ”
Belle claims that America is 5-6 years away from paying reparations because NASA plans on launching a space mining expedition in 2022. Belle continues, "Michigan and America need to find a way to pay for responding to the pandemic. Before the launch to the asteroid belt, if forgiveness and redemption aren't enough motive for America to repair race relations, then maybe greed or need will be.”
Belle realizes that her election is statistically impossible in a heavily Democratic state house district. Michigan law permits straight-party voting. Belle acknowledges that Donald Trump has been the best thing that has ever happened to the Democratic Party. “It’s October and the Republican Reality TV President has been so scary, he’s threatening to carry Halloween into November. If it wasn’t for the Trump boogie man, disgruntled, progressive, or apathetic Democrats would have Demexit to the Green Party.” Belle is hopeful that voters in her district will vote down-ticket for her in addition to any straight party voting at the top of the ticket. “A vote for me does not spoil straight party voting. You can achieve your desired result in the national election without sacrificing your best interest in state and local elections. We must look beyond four more years of Reds denying climate change. A Blue wave may be listening more to scientists about the coronavirus, but only the Greens are listening to scientists enough to seriously address climate change: Even scarier than Trump is the scientific prediction that Earth will face an extinction-level event in less than 10 years. We need Golden Psyche to radically fix the environment, with special emphasis on cleaning Michigan's Great Lakes, or we need to exodus to another planet.”
Belle concludes, “Although it's counter-intuitive, reparations to African Americans is ultimately patriotic. It doesn't bankrupt America. It saves America. Reparations is in the best interest of America’s national security. A race war may be a distraction instigated by America’s space competitors who don't have many blacks in their populations. Blacks and whites in America must repair our differences so we can feverishly work together to win the space race. Starting here in Michigan.”
