(London/Zurich, 15.05.2019) British Heart Foundation (BHF), the largest independent funder of heart and circulatory disease research in the UK, and Zurich-based iRewind, the global leader in the production of personalized video content, have teamed up to provide fundraisers exclusive and customised finisher videos at BHF challenge events.

In this first of its kind partnership, the 40,000+ participants taking part in BHF fundraising events over the next 12 months, including the London to Brighton Bike Ride, Tower of London Run, Bournemouth Pier to Pier Swim, and Glasgow to Edinburgh trek, will receive a personalised highlights video that captures their mammoth efforts from up to eight different angles.

iRewind’s video software uses radio-frequency identification (RFID) and Artificial Intelligence to immediately identify individuals and turnaround videos in less than 24 hour after taking part. Videos will also feature their unique JustGiving URL to help boost their fundraising efforts and share with friends and family as well as on social channels.

Lee Sumner, Events Marketing Manager at the BHF, said:“We are really excited to partner with iRewind to give our British Heart Foundation champions an exclusive digital souvenir that’s unique to them. We want our supporters to feel proud of their courage and determination to stop heart and circulatory disease in its tracks, and relive the thrill of our challenge events. Without their dedication, we wouldn’t be able to fund the life saving research that has broken new ground, revolutionised treaments and transformed the lives of millions of people in the UK. By partnering with iRewind, we hope that BHF supporters will be able to take their fundraising to the next level and help us fund more researchand make a meaningful difference to the lives.of more than seven million people in the UK affected by heart and circulatory disease.”

Nico Decurtins, Member of the Management Board, said: “We are honoured to work with the British Heart Foundation and join them in their efforts to beat heartbreak forever. About BHF
One in four people in the UK and one in three globally die from heart and circulatory diseases. That’s why the British Heart Foundation funds world-leading research into their causes, prevention, treatment and cure. Advances from our research have saved and improved millions of lives, but heart diseases, stroke, vascular dementia and their risk factors such as diabetes still cause heartbreak on every street. With the public’s support, our funding will drive the new discoveries to end that heartbreak. Find out more at www.bhf.org.uk
