CrossIceHockey, a web site for adult and youth recreational hockey players is based in New York.  They have just published an article by Bryndle, author of “ A Fly on the Wall in the NHL”.  His article predicts NHL Scoring will increase dramatically as a result of the new “Player and Puck Tracking System“ that will be utilized this season.
As a past consultant to NHL teams on goal scoring with his win now approach, Bryndle suggests there will be as many as eight individual players scoring 80 goals this season.  The article that appears in www.crossicehockey.com shows how it can be done.   With this new tracking system pucks can be traced at “ a rate of 2000 times per second in real time, with inch level accuracy.”  The resulting data, in conjunction with analytics and video, will provide teams with “the keys to the vault”.

This system combined with a data capture approach, and inch level accuracy, will show the exact placement of goals that score on every goalie.  Bryndle believes that once the true implications of the data captured are understood, their very well could be 10 goal games on a regular basis. Let the season begin.
