Two New Product Launches Commemorate a Banner Year

With a passion for creating the best concealers on the market, founder and former model Judith August has spent the last three decades creating relevant and useful products that cover up and conceal just about everything for everybody. Well before women entrepreneurs were fashionable, and before You Tubers, influencers and bloggers, Judith was a cosmetics innovator. Now, as a “Woman of a Certain Age” Judith is commencing her third act and is continuing to create new products. Using today’s innovative technologies that keep women (and men) looking their best, she is thrilled to be celebrating 35 years in the business.
In celebration of her company’s anniversary, Judith will debut two new products this year. The first new product is The Concealer, Liquid Camouflage (her first liquid concealer). Her blockbuster, Full Coverage Concealer, KILLER COVER, a five-part compact in a “Universal Color” range, will now be joined by a second, lighter color pallet. A darker color range is also in the works for later this year. KILLER COVER has been a best seller for the tattoo market and also conceals scars, vitiligo, birthmarks, post-operative bruises, veins, used as leg make-up and more. These new products will join the extended line of Judith August products led by the Everything Pencil, her trailblazing concealer in a pencil.
Featured in many publications, Heidi Klum also blogged about Judith’s Everything Pencil EraseZit stating, “This all-in-one stick is an antiseptic concealer, corrector and acne cover up all in one. It’s so great for hiding flaws and doing last-minute touch-ups. “Creating corrective cosmetics for women and men was born out of necessity,” states founder August. “I had hereditary bags under my eyes at an early age and so I became an expert in using concealers to camouflage my problem. I knew that I could help others with the knowledge I had gained.” August modeled in New York, Los Angeles and Europe and went on to appear in prestigious fashion magazines including Town & County, Vogue, Glamour and Mademoiselle during her career.
Following her modeling career, August founded the first make-over boutique in New Orleans followed by hosting a syndicated television show called “Let’s Face It,” which aired in 36 markets. Not one to rest on her accomplishments, August returned to Los Angeles, formed a consulting company and worked with two successful start-up companies, the original Indian Earth and the Two Bunch Palms Resort Spa line. Beverly Hills skin and make-up maven Aida Grey then hired her as Director of Training for all her franchise operations. As training director for Aida Grey Cosmetics of Beverly Hills, August developed workshops, lectures, and seminars to all types of groups, organizations and corporations. The more public exposure she received, there became an increasing demand for her makeup techniques.
When she founded Judith August Cosmetic Solutions, August’s motto, “If you’ve got a problem, we’ve got a solution,” proved to be a God-send for many who had suffered silently from a variety of skin issues. August realized makeup played a pivotal role in the psychological wellbeing of both men and women. It helps support self-esteem, especially now in the age of selfies and social media.
In 2012, August wrote a how-to book, “Gotcha Covered ? The Compact Guide to Camouflage Makeup”, an exquisitely illustrated, 110-page guide, providing detailed tips on how to use her products and more.
