Pop Star's Father To Donate All Proceeds
Charity Pro Travel CEO Keith Hudson has announced that the popular online travel site will offer deep discounts up to 65% off published rates, to anyone evacuating or traveling due to Hurricane Dorian. Hudson, father of pop star Katy Perry, has also pledged that 100% of all commission will be donated to the customer’s favorite charity.
“We are not quite sure where Dorian is going to come ashore, but many people will need to evacuate or travel,” says Megan Maloney, Founder of Charity Pro Travel. Maloney, a Ft Myers, FL resident, started the company as a young teen to raise money for charity after losing family members to cancer. Every time you book a hotel, rental car or airfare, Charity Pro Travel donates up to 50% of the commission to the customers charity of choice, however for all reservations this week, they are donating 100%.
"It’s all about making a difference” Megan continues, “and we have some amazing charity partners like; Shriners Hospitals for Children, Special Olympics, Direct Relief, Ronald McDonald House SWFL and others that we love to support."
Not only is Megan a young entrepreneur, but also a philanthropist, recently founding "The Charity Pro's," www.thecharitypros.org, a non-profit organization that advocates for children's social causes and expand the opportunities to live their best life. "Working with Keith is amazing, he shares our passion and is all about helping others." says Megan, "It’s also pretty cool when Katy Perry tweets about us.”
