CALIFORNIA CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE JOE COLLINS SUES LOS ANGELES COUNTY, LOS ANGELES COUNTY REGISTRAR AND CONGRESSWOMAN MAXINE WATERS FOR ELECTION LAW VIOLATIONS
LOS ANGELES, CA – California Congressional Candidate Joe Collins filing a lawsuit with Los Angeles County Superior Court for election law violations during the November 3, 2020 general election.
The lawsuit names Los Angeles County, Los Angeles County Registrar Dean Logan and Congresswoman Maxine Waters as defendants and challenges the validity of election results because ballot signatures were not verified against official Voter Registration records and omitting the signature verification step is a violation of California election law.
Mr. Collins says “ensuring free and fair elections should be the goal of the legislature. Election laws are in place for a reason and certain roles and responsibilities are given to individuals to protect the integrity of our elections and this lawsuit will ensure election officials are doing their jobs by the book and important steps are never skipped in future elections.”
