DigitalMint, a cryptocurrency provider, announced today its partnership with multinational convenience store chain, Circle K, adding 20 Bitcoin ATMs across Arizona and Nevada as part of an exclusive pilot program. The partnership marks the largest expansion for DigitalMint to date. Consumers can purchase Bitcoin at participating Circle K’s in AZ and NV as part of the initial pilot program.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with a respected organization like Circle K,” said Marc Grens, President & Co-Founder, DigitalMint. “This partnership opens the door for massive expansion of Bitcoin access to new markets around the globe.”
Similar to a traditional ATM, Bitcoin ATMs enable consumers to exchange U.S. dollars for Bitcoin. Customers can buy up to $20,000 in Bitcoin per day. The newly launched Arizona ATMs are located in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Tucson, Flagstaff, Surprise, Maricopa and Nevada ATMs in Las Vegas. With this Circle K partnership, DigitalMint becomes the largest Bitcoin ATM and point-of-sale operator in the U.S. The company currently has over 250 locations in 25 states.
“We are very happy to add DigitalMint as a partner and we look forward to working with their team," said Joel Konicke, Category Manager, Circle K Stores Inc. “Partnering with DigitalMint allows us to provide our customers with seamless access to Bitcoin, at a very reasonable price.”
DigitalMint, a Chicago-based cryptocurrency provider, founded in 2014, enables consumers to purchase Bitcoin through physical kiosks and teller windows. DigitalMint has partnered with over 250 brick-and-mortar locations across the United States, including financial service centers, convenience stores, grocery chains, gas stations, and other retailers.
