Dr. C. Norman Shealy has received this honor for his more than six decades of professional experience as a physician. Dr. Shealy has demonstrated success as a dynamic, results-driven leader as a Chronic Pain Management Physician and in every role, he has ever held. Dr. Shealy has been the C.E.O. of the Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute in Springfield, Missouri, for over 45 years. In 1971, he pioneered the concept of Holistic Medicine, and in 1978, he was elected President of the American Holistic Medical Association. Dr. Shealy was also the President of the Holos Institute of Health and a co-founder of the Holos University Graduate Seminary. He is the President Emeritus and Emeritus Professor of Energy Medicine at Holos University Graduate Seminary and the Professor Emeritus of Energy Medicine at Greenwich University. Dr. Shealy also served fin the Naval Reserves from 1956 to 1963, where he received an honorable discharge.
Dr. Shealy has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his distinguished career and has been recognized in numerous publications and magazines worldwide for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the Healthcare Industry. He graced the front cover of T.I.P. (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine for 2020. He was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Top Expert Physician of the Year in Chronic Pain at the IAOTP's Annual Awards Gala. Dr. Shealy will be considered for the Top Doctor of the Decade Award. Much of his life's work has been recognized, including the AHMA's Holistic Person of the Year Award in 1985, the American Institute of Stress's Stress Award in 1997, the Bio-Medical Synergistics Education Institute's Pearl Award in 2000, and Temple University's Surgeon English Humanitarian Award in 2002. Dr. Shealy is the first President of the American Holistic Medical Association, and he has made scientific and humanitarian advances through Medicine, Holism, Wellness, Education, and Innovations. Dr. Shealy is also a member of 14 professional societies.
Dr. C. Norman Shealy earned his M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine in 1956 before embarking on his current professional career path. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from the Saybrook Institute in 1977. In 1979, he received his Doctorate of Science from the Ryodoraku Research Institute of North America. Dr. Shealy, a skilled physician, spent more than three years at Western Reserve Medical School, where his research resulted in both Dorsal Column Stimulation and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS). Both of these innovations are currently being used to help and control pain worldwide. Dr. Shealy is licensed in Missouri and is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists, the American Board of Pain Management, the American Board of Somnology, the American Board of Sexology, and the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America.
Dr. C. Norman Shealy's innovations include Electro-Acupuncture, Spinal Cord Stimulation, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), and the RejuvaMatrix for rejuvenating and Transcutaneous Acupuncture, which also rejuvenates telomeres. He uses Chakra Sweep Gamma PEMF for stress reduction and opioid addiction, Sapphire Enhanced Scalar for remarkable biochemical stress reduction, and Biogenics Retraining of the Nervous System based on his P.H.D. in Humanistic Psychology.
Dr. Shealy has 14 patents in Energy Medicine and has published 36 books and over 350 articles in addition to his successful career. He continues to be involved in clinical work, research, writing, and education. Dr. Shealy is a sought-after keynote speaker who has appeared on national and international stages and at numerous conferences throughout his career. Since 1971, he has lectured and trained hundreds of professionals at medical schools, universities, hospitals, and churches, making up to 100 appearances per year. Dr. Shealy has appeared on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Tomorrow Show, Joan Rivers, Geraldo, Oprah, the Wisdom Channel, and numerous regional and local television and radio programs. Dr. Shealy also hosted a popular call-in radio show for over 20 years on KWTO, 560AM in the Ozarks. He currently offers a free weekly e-newsletter to the general public.

Dr. Shealy's academic appointments began immediately after he graduated from medical school in 1956. Dr. Shealy remains active in the International Science of Mind Church for Spiritual Healing and the American Board of Scientific Medical Intuition, despite the high demand for his guidance and support in the Healthcare Industry. He has served on 17 Advisory Boards and six Editorial Boards.
Dr. Shealy credits his success to his interest in research, passion for education, and determination to effect change in the healthcare industry. He is driven by a genuine desire to help others and maintains the highest level of integrity in all of his professional and personal endeavors. After 52 years of marriage to his wife, Mary-Charlotte Shealy, Dr. Shealy is widowed. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family when he is not working. In the future, he hopes to continue making a difference in people's lives and helping them manage their chronic pain the best way he knows how.
