Dr. Langsdon has served on many American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) committees, assuming the honorable role as the President of the organization in 2018. He was previously a member of the AAFPRS board of directors from 2015-2017 and the Fall Meeting Program Director from 2016 to 2018.
As program director, Dr. Langsdon organized, planned, and oversaw national medical education programs for the entire AAFPRS organization that provides Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) credits (CME) for physicians specializing in Facial Plastic Surgery. These national symposiums enable doctors to exchange the latest information concerning the standard of surgical techniques, care, and new developments in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and non-surgical facial aesthetics. Further, Dr. Langsdon directs an AAFPRS-sponsored fellowship training program for upcoming doctors who are learning to specialize in facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Langsdon also established the Foundation for Facial Aesthetic Surgery, a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides continuing education in facial plastic surgery for doctors in the field. He has run the Foundation’s annual multi-specialty medical education program for plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, and dermatologists for over 25 years. The Foundation also helps sponsor doctors undergoing yearlong training programs in facial plastic surgery.
