With widespread reports of COVID-19 sweeping the nation, one local senior living community is shifting its sights to support those who are responding to the pandemic. Elegance at Dublin, a brand-new senior living company, slated to open in the Fall of 2020, is doing its part to support essential personnel in the Bay Area by providing them with breakfast burritos.
“First responders and healthcare providers are working longer and harder to ensure that those in the Bay Area stay safe and healthy,” said Christine Hernandez, Director of Sales & Marketing at Elegance at Dublin. “The team and I wanted to provide something easy that they can eat while they’re either working or have a few minutes to spare.”
The team at Elegance at Dublin realized that there was a need for meal support as they were building relationships with other businesses in the Bay Area. After hearing stories about essential personnel skipping meals to continue working, they made it their mission to give meals for those on the frontline of the pandemic.
The Elegance team purchased breakfast burritos from Azteca Taqueria, a local Mexican restaurant in Dublin, and partnered with local healthcare and first responders to determine how many burritos they needed. So far, Elegance at Dublin has delivered breakfast burritos to John Muir Health in Pleasonton, The Vintage Skill Nursing and Rehab, Danville Post Acute Rehab, Pleasonton Nursing and Rehab Center and Alameda County Fire Station 16.
“It was never our goal to deliver so many breakfast burritos; we just saw a huge need and we wanted to help,” said Kim De Sousa, Director of Sales & Marketing at Elegance at Dublin. We can’t thank these individuals enough for all that they’re doing and we will continue to support essential personnel any way that we can.”
