Patent No. 10,311,529 Empowers Homeowners to Plan Projects Online Using Machine Learning
Emprove, Inc. (Emprove) announced today the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 10,311,529 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) covering its new machine-learning technology that allows consumers to comprehensively plan their construction and improvement projects online.
“Our newly issued patent makes claims in connection with our technology that translates the consumer design ideation experience into an itemized, cost-estimated, and customizable project plan that is electronically sent to contractors for quotes,” said James Noel, CEO and Co-Founder, Emprove, Inc. “It marks a significant milestone in our journey to empower consumers with clarity and confidence as they initiate their improvement projects,” he said.
The patent covers Emprove’s machine learning technology that processes consumer profile data received through a visual user interface to generate a comprehensive project plan that is: itemized, cost-estimated, and customizable. The project plan, clearly reflecting the consumers desired and budget-validated scope, is converted into a digital request for proposal that is electronically sent to qualified contractors for their competitive and comparable quotes.
Through the use of its technology, Emprove has created over 8,500 project plans with a combined value over $150M. Emprove’s online project planning services are available to consumers in all U.S. markets with cost estimates that are adjusted for the unique market conditions of each.
“It’s no longer enough to simply connect an inspired consumer to a qualified and well-intentioned contractor, it’s time the industry provides the consumer with the capacity to properly plan their projects so they can engage the market from a position of confidence and adequate leverage,” said Mr. Noel. “All of our experience tells us that a well-informed consumer affords greater efficiency to contractors quoting the project and allows for both parties to align expectations before starting,” he said.
