Contributions to Youth Golf
Mr. Rhodes is credited with starting junior golf programs in Davenport, IA, Houston, TX, south Florida, Washington, D.C., and Detroit, MI. He has also established instructional PGA programs entitled "Get Golf Ready" at the University of MI, Oakland University Upward Bound, MSU Upward Bound, and Schoolcraft College.
Inspiration for 5-Onnitt
In the fall of 2019, Mr. Rhodes envisioned developing a platform that would beneficially impact the economic status of many urban communities. Being so heavily involved with youths, their families, and the Upward Bound programs motivated Mr. Rhodes to create an online platform like 5-Onnitt. Realizing the purchasing power and demand in urban communities for a wide array of products and services, Mr. Rhodes wanted to make buying more for less accessible to urban families. He has now accomplished his goal of empowering communities with the ability to "buy more for less."
