Many of us dream about making a living from our passion. It sounds like a great way to earn your income because you'll love doing it every day. Francis St. Holder has made this dream come true for himself. After spending two decades using his skills in the IT and telecommunications industry, he has shifted his attention to a motorcycle dealership business.
Mr. Holder's love for motorcycles began at an early age. When he was just a boy living in Fort Washington, MD in the mid-70s his father would take him together with his brothers to Harley Davidson, where he nurtured his interest in bikes. Currently, Holder owns several bikes, but his favorites are a 1994 Springer Softail that he customized, and a 2012 CVO Road Glide, fondly known as The Skunk.
Holder attended the University of Maryland College Park where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management. He then went on to venture into the IT industry. His first big position came in 1995, working for IBM Advantis as a task manager and senior communications engineer. This was the turning point of his career, and since then he has held several senior positions in the IT firms. His more than twenty years of experience in this field left him with extensive skills in business development, IT consultation, operations management, design, implementation, and assessment of systems management and network services.
In 2015, Holder partnered with DMV Baggers, a Motorcycle business. Three months later, he became the sole owner. Holder then made the establishment a motorcycle customization center, turning his life-long passion of customizing bikes into his first business. Shortly after, in April 2015, he acquired another motorcycle business. He purchased Clinton Cycles, a motorcycle dealership corporation located in Clinton, Maryland.
With Clinton Cycles, Holder's goal was to provide his fellow enthusiastic motorcyclists in Maryland with reliable dealership services. After spending more than 20 years helping other businesses grow, Holder knew just what to do to make his motorcycling business thrive.
A hardworking professional, Mr. Holder is well able to balance his IT career with his entrepreneurial ventures. This alone portrays the extent of his managerial prowess, as his businesses are doing well, and he is still working towards advancing his career in IT.
