ATLANTA (April 7, 2021) - The International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), a division of the Global Initiative for Inclusive ICT’s (G3ict) in partnership with Princeton University’s Office of Information Technology has announced the launch of an accessibility course for professionals to support students and individuals with disabilities.
“The International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), a division of the Global Initiative for Inclusion ICTs (G3ict), is pleased to announce a new online course for individuals to study for their Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) exam, with a course developed and maintained by Princeton University’s Office of Information Technology.” - Christopher Lee, Ph. The online CPACC course, slated to be launch in April 2021, has been used to strengthen and expand accessibility awareness and skills and to certify staff in a variety of roles on the Princeton University campus since 2018. To date Princeton has trained and certified close to 100 staff.

The Princeton CPACC Course, designed for self-study, follows the structure of the CPACC Body of Knowledge. It is built with a variety of media and instructional techniques including readings, videos, reflections, and knowledge checks, and culminates in a 100-question practice exam for participants to test their readiness to apply for the CPACC Certification exam through IAAP. It is hosted by the Open edX platform.
