Idaho skiing offers adventure enthusiasts a ski paradise with vertical drops that steal your breath away and snow pack levels that keep skiers on the slopes until deep Spring. With 2019 delivering record years for ski resorts in Idaho, 2020, even with Covid-19 concerns, plans are in place to offer skiers an even better ski experience than last year. Idaho resorts have been hard at work in the off-season to prepare for a stellar snow-mountain experience. With additions to resort dining, lodging, guest activities and outdoor excitement, visitors to Idaho ski resorts will love what these popular destinations have to offer.

Tamarack Resort

Tamarack Resort is a, must ski, four-season destination that’s located about 90 miles north of Boise. It’s the gold-standard for the ultimate alpine experience. The resort delivers the best skiing conditions of the three resorts with 2,760 feet of vertical terrain that stretches over 1,100 acres. Besides impressive slopes and ample snow pack for both downhill and Nordic skiing, the resort offers a wide range of lodging options that accommodate groups of all sizes.

While this master-planned Idaho skiing destination was launched in 2004, new management gave its amenities a major luxury makeover in 2018. Nowhere is the luxury alpine lifestyle on display more than at The Village, which is the center of the action at Tamarack Resort. This is where you’ll find restaurants, retail shops, and the main market that sells staple groceries and artisan-style prepared foods.

Brundage Mountain

Searching for dramatic vertical drops and snow-packed and groomed slopes in Idaho’s central region? Look no further than Brundage Mountain skiing resort in McCall. The area gets about 320 inches of snow each year on average, and five lifts serve its 1,500 acres of skiable terrain to resort guests and visitors. Brundage Mountain gets some of the highest snowfalls in the state and is unanimously known to have the best snow in the state.

Bogus Basin

Bogus Basin is a skiing area that’s located in the Boise National Forest. The recreation area has over 2,600 acres of skiable territory and is served by seven chair lifts. Bogus Basin has many downhill skiing options for beginners and intermediate skiers, and more advanced skiers enjoy the area’s 1,790 feet of vertical terrain in the Boise Ridge Mountains. You’ll also find opportunities to go Nordic skiing and night skiing at Bogus Basin.

Idaho is one of North America’s best kept secrets for first-class skiing destinations. You’ll find snow-filled backcountry, mythical vertical drops, and short lift lines that’ll keep you coming back year after year. Idaho’s ski resorts take winter outdoor adventure to the next level. Grab your family, GoPro camera, and gear and get set for an unforgettable destination.
