Miamisburg, OH – Ignyte Assurance Platform, the integrated cyber risk assurance company, announced it received approval for a license agreement with the U.S. Air Force’s 67th Cyberspace Wing for patented software. The agreement allows Ignyte to commercialize the Air Force-developed cyber risk technology.
“We can now integrate proven technology into the cyber risk management platform that we offer to our clients, many who already provide services to the federal government,” said Max Aulakh, president of Ignyte. “We are pursuing the technology certification through Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Approved Product Listing (APL), a term specifically used when referring to federally approved high assurance information technology systems, so we can extend our market reach and help support small to medium to enterprise-sized business as they support and secure the U.S. Defense Industrial Supply chain.”
“This strengthens our working relationship with the Air Force,” Aulakh said. “And allows our clients to better support the federal government and meet its security standards. We see this having a positive impact for federal and commercial suppliers who are working toward meeting cyber standards such as NIST RMF, CMMC (emerging), FedRAMP, and many others.”
Col. Jeffrey Phillips, 67th Cyberspace Wing Commander, signed the patent license agreement on behalf of the Air Force on December 28, 2020. Through the patent license agreement, the first in the 67th Cyberspace Wing and 16th Air Force history, and the follow-on cooperative research and development agreement, signed on March 22, 2021 with Ignyte, the Air Force’s important R&D work can have a broader impact and support the national security mission.
