Program to help Turkish companies to expand in the U.S. on investment and partnership initiatives
INNOGATE, a Turkish based international technology accelerator, announced today its Roadshow to be conducted between June 17th and 30th with 8 car maker and 8 technology companies to expand its business development initiatives in the West Coast and Midwest. Within this Roadshow, companies will meet with high level executive leaders from Tesla, Schneider Electric,Mitsubishi Motors and other multinational companies to search for possible cooperation and get updates about their sector.
Supported by the Turkish Government (Istanbul Development Agency), INNOGATE offers a 360-degree program including access to international connections, market penetration, business modeling and strategy development opportunities together with benefits of training, mentorship, counseling, and access to the right people/institutions.
Istanbul Technical University’s Technology Park ARI Teknokent leveraged its extensive experience in acceleration programs to design INNOGATE for auto and technology companies to expand to the US market, to share their global competitive ability and improvement of the innovation and R&D infrastructure.
The participating firms will meet with potential partners, investors and clients to support their globalization process. The companies will closely examine the US automotive industry and its dynamics in San Francisco and Detroit. It will meet with experts in the business development departments of leading organizations such as Tesla, Schneider Electric and Mitsubishi Motors to learn about the latest trends in the industry and to conduct business development activities of their own companies.
Smart gloves now available in the US
Thread In Motion, one of the companies that went to the USA with Innogate, produced the first wearable technology smart glove WIO and integrated 15 different sensors into one glove. WIO is able to prevent products from being placed or picked up on faulty shelves, thus preventing the user from making mistakes. The company offers solutions for companies including Mercedes Benz, Renault, Hyundai, Unilever, BSH and Turkish Airlines. Thread In Motion works in London and San Francisco offices with the goal of rapidly expanding into global markets.
