Intellese is excited to support the oil and gas industry at this trying time by participating in this year’s Summer NAPE summit. The NAPE Expo, launched in 1993, is the largest annual upstream oil and gas marketplace event. Since 2005 a second Houston event has been held each summer. Normally held in the George R. Brown Convention Center, thousands of land, accounting, engineering, geology, and other oil and gas professionals gather to buy and sell interests in prospects and producing properties. This year, due to gathering restrictions in place because of COVID-19 concerns, Summer NAPE will be an online event.
A virtual conference fits right in with what Intellese is offering. Intellese is focused in the energy space on using technology to augment and optimize lease analyst, landman, accountant, engineer, geologist… really anybody’s workflow by pairing human ability with artificial intelligence to turn digital documents and disparate data sources into verified, cohesive datasets ready for use.

Much of the energy industry still runs on paper (either printed or digital documents). It wasn’t that many years ago that GIS revolutionized the way we generated and consumed maps. Now an even larger revolution is taking place allowing digital documents to not just be OCR’d, but converted into usable spreadsheets and databases between four and twenty times faster than manual entry permits.
