Wayne Pharmaceuticals will serve as the Headline Sponsor for the 5th Annual International indigoLife Women’s Empowerment and Cultural Expo 2019. The event will convene May 16-18, 2019 at MD Whitest Conference & Event Center in Cordele, Georgia. Women across the U.S. and abroad will gather over the three- day weekend to discuss sustainable approaches toward relationship building, resource management, wealth creation, and the development of compelling personas.
The event will commence with greetings from Dr. Mathew Wayne Whitest, followed by the Opening Address from event founder and President of indigoLife Communications, Inc., Dr. Alicia Ritchey. South Florida’s marketing and promotions guru, Suzan McDowell, will give the Keynote Address. McDowell’s campaign projects include City of Miami Gardens’ Annual Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival, publicist and Ambassador of the #BankBlack Movement for OneUnited Bank, the largest African-American owned bank in the U.S., Related Urban’s nationally recognized $307M Liberty Square Redevelopment, Harry Belafonte’s Many Rivers to Cross Festival, Urban League of Greater Miami, and many more.
St. Louis native, Dr. Marty K. Casey, as part of the Day 3 focus on mental health, will present her one-woman show, Can you laugh your way through: Medicine for life’s realities. ”I am delighted to witness this number of highly qualified mental health professionals being brought to the table to help break the silence and shed light on why mental illness is still kept in the dark despite its obvious impact on our families and communities,” said Dr. Whitest, President/CEO of Wayne’s Pharmaceutical.
Other highlights of the Expo are the daily panels and interactive breakout sessions from representatives of U.S. Department of Treasury, Department of Juvenile Justice, South Florida-based research and management company, ICB Productions, Inc., AARP, and a plethora of small business owners. Dr. Jewel Faison, former school superintendent, will serve as one of the facilitators for the event.
A number of socials will convene during the weekend, including a Friday night Southern Honeysuckle, featuring Brass Band, Bailey Rockets. Saturday morning, May 18, the indigoLife Golf Classic will take place at Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club. Saturday evening at 6:00PM, the weekend activities will conclude with the “indigoLife Gala” honoring individuals throughout Middle & South Georgia, and beyond, who inspire social and economic advancement within sectors of business, government, faith-based, and education, as well as the health field. The evening will close with a concert, featuring an all-male line-up of singers across Middle and South Georgia.
