Miami-based insurance brokerage, International Marine Insurance Underwriters LLC, has announced the launch of IMI Underwriters, a new InsurTech-focused agency which looks to expand on the success of its affiliate IMI Cargo, an online provider of global cargo insurance services. Founded in 2017, IMI Cargo has partnered with major insurers including Tokio Marine, Allianz and CNA to provide cargo insurance services to hundreds of customers located in over 50 countries worldwide. Through its innovative model and an intuitive, easy-to-use online quoting platform, IMI Cargo has insured over $400 million worth of cargo to date.
Propelled by a rapidly growing customer base and the support of several major insurers, IMI Underwriters will offer an expanded range of services and coverage options to companies in the logistics and import-export industries, while serving as the exclusive broker of record for IMI Cargo and its programs.
