(Los Angeles) --- Don’t look for alphabetical order or an all-inclusive volume worthy of Websters in Kevin E. West’s latest book, “Politics.. in a word.” Within the binding come brainy anecdotes that provide an irreverent read, as common words such as “construction” and “allergic” are redefined by the actor-turned-activist.
“The inspiration of this book is simple,” says Kevin E. West. “’Politics…in a word’ is a much needed humorous and poignant reminder that we all have behaved in various ways, since childhood and using different words, that are synonymous with politics ’n politicians.”
“It may not be the official #TrumpTranslator per se,” West says, “But maybe it can be a way for families to discuss the issue of politics in their own off-beat way.”
There are 50 ‘redefinitions’ in the book, published by Titletown Publishing https://www.titletownpublishing.com/product-page/politics.
The book complements the trademarked message of “It’s not a Democratic choice - it’s an American one” – a mutual brainchild of West’s IntenseSunshine (https://intensesunshine.com) brand and also available at the retail bookstore Page Against the Machine in Long Beach, Calif.
“There are millions of Americans who are far closer to the center of politics who can wear a high-end T-shirt about #CountryOverParty and enjoy reading a cute political gift book, simultaneously,” said Paul Jackson, whom West calls a “co-conspirator” in his new endeavor.
A portion of the proceeds from T-Shirts sales will go to the international environmental entity 350.org, and the book includes a dedication to members of the Free Press.
