JINYA Ramen Bar Opens in Baton Rouge

07/17/2019 07:00 - United States - (PR Distribution™)

JINYA Ramen Bar opened in Baton Rouge on July 1, 2019, marking the grand opening of “Ramen-preneur” and Founder Tomo Takahashi’s 35th location in North America and first in Louisiana.

Since its inception nearly a decade ago, JINYA Ramen Bar has established itself as a go-to spot for authentic ramen, Japanese small plates and craft beer. Cozy yet modern, the Baton Rouge location at Perkins Rowe (next to Cinemark) is the city’s newest spot for weekday lunches, happy hours and lively social gatherings with friends and family. Indoor, outdoor and bar seating are available.

The Baton Rouge franchise is owned by restaurant industry veterans Brad Smith and Tony Avila, who are teaming with JINYA to open locations in both Louisiana and Colorado.

“Baton Rouge is a city with culinary savvy,” says Smith.  “We’re pleased to introduce the authentic taste and experience of JINYA.”

SLURPS UP

JINYA Ramen Bar offers 13 signature bowls, featuring five kinds of broth simmered for 10 hours, noodles aged for three days and more than 20 toppings, allowing for countless build-your-own combinations. Popular bowls include: Spicy Chicken Ramen; the classic Tonkotsu Black with a rich, pork-based broth; and the current Chef’s Special Karaage Chicken Ramen. Karaage is the popular Japanese style of fried chicken!

Other JINYA signatures include the beloved Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen; Sprouting Up Ramen with grilled vegetables; and Cha Cha Cha Ramen for garlic lovers. Guests can customize ramen bowls with add-on toppings like chicken wontons, cheese & tomato, Brussels sprouts and beef sukiyaki, or upgrade to spinach noodles for an additional charge.

JINYA Baton Rouge also offers craft beer, sake and wine. Rounding out the menu are shareable small plates such as Caramelized Cauliflower, Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura and Mini Tacos.  All are original JINYA recipes.

BEHIND THE BOWL

JINYA Ramen Bar Founder Tomo Takahashi opened the first JINYA in Tokyo in 2000. After launching six successful restaurants in Japan, he brought his ramen expertise to the United States, opening JINYA Ramen Bar’s first U.S. location in 2010 in Studio City, Calif. The brand has since expanded to a total of 35 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
