Jordan Sidoo Donates To Provide Breakfast For Hungry Students

2021-12-03 20:00:00 - Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada - (PR Distribution™)

Jordan and Dylan Sidoo, the sons of Canadian businessman David Sidoo, made a $10,000 donation to the Breakfast Program in Vancouver. After having many experiences with breakfast programs with their parents David and Manjy, the brothers decided that this would be a perfect opportunity to help out with a cause that matters to them. This particular donation went to Gladstone Secondary in the Kensington-Cedar Cottage neighborhood.

At Gladstone Secondary, the school district estimates that around 10% of the students need assistance when it comes to food. Many students already receive financial assistance for lunch, but breakfast is arguably more important for success during the day.

Breakfast clubs are nothing new, as Jordan Sidoo and his brother Dylan have seen firsthand before. After helping with other programs with their parents David and Manjy. Each school has to apply for assistance, hoping to stop students from falling behind simply because they don’t have food in their stomachs. Other schools have seen considerable changes just by adopting a breakfast club.

Both Jordan and Dylan Sidoo donated on behalf of Sidoo Family Giving to help out right away. While going without food and all the negative benefits are self-explanatory, other issues include a lack of proper nourishment.

Jordan Sidoo and his brother Dylan decided on this organization because of their overall mission. As the most important meal of the day, less fortunate students skip breakfast too often. This is a way to close that gap in a way that doesn’t single out struggling students and their families.

The donation goes towards the Breakfast Club of Canada organization that works around the country to help those in need. To learn more about the Breakfast Club of Canada, visit the website at breakfastclubcanada.org. It is a way for individuals to get involved or for schools to receive help.
