Karen Thomas, C.S.T, C.M.T, CEO & Founder of Naturally Recovering Autism, was just recently selected as Top Specialist of the Year in Autism for 2020 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP), for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the field.
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. With over three decades of professional experience in holistic health, Karen has certainly proven herself as an accomplished professional and expert in Craniosacral Therapy. As a talented, dynamic, results-driven leader, she has demonstrated success not only with holistic health but also as an educator, author, speaker, consultant and as a passionate mother who fought and found a way to help her child recover from the autistic spectrum diagnosis. With Karen’s holistic background and knowledge of the brain, she knew it would be up to her to help her child recover naturally from autism. Her key responsibilities and expertise include but are not limited to alternative health care, craniosacral therapy, bodywork, autism spectrum disorders, healing the gut, study of the human brain, alternative natural drug-free research etc. Karen has become one of the most trusted resources of parents of children on the autism spectrum and has implemented a way to share her findings with others.
Throughout her career, Karen remains active in her community and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and her commitment to the profession. She has received awards and accolades and has been featured in magazines and other publications. For 2020, she is being considered to be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine and for the Empowered Woman Award. For 2019 she was interviewed on the Donna Drake show and has her own live weekly radio show on BBM Radio.
Aside from her successful career Karen is also a sought-after speaker and published author. Her book, Naturally Recovering Autism: The Complete Step-By-Step Resource Handbook for Parents, serves as a guide to parents looking for answers to help with their children who are on the spectrum. She is an invited speaker for multiple years at the Autism One conferences. Karen’s program is currently helping families get results in over 40 countries worldwide and is growing.
Karen received her Certificate in Massage Therapy from Twin Lakes College of the Healing Arts and her Associate’s Degree in Biology from Glendale Community College. She is Nationally Board Certified Instructor of Craniosacral Therapy. The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami stated “Choosing Karen for this honor was an easy decision for our panel to make. She is brilliant, talented and an inspiration to parents all over the world. Looking back, Karen attributes her success to her education, staying passionate in all her endeavors and mentors she has had along the way. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, and spending time with her family. Karen says she has been blessed and feels this is just the beginning. For the future, she will continue to grow as a professional, and hopes to help influence people’s lives any way that she can.
