With over 4 decades of professional experience first as a Law Enforcement professional, an educator and instructor in Law and Justice, and currently as a Reiki Master and Spiritual Mentor, Kathleen has certainly proven herself as an accomplished professional and expert in many fields. As a talented, dynamic, results-driven leader, Kathleen has demonstrated success not only as a Reiki Master but in every position she has ever held. Her impressive repertoire of prior roles includes Private Investigator/Polygraphist for KML Associates, Investigator for Pennsylvania Dept. Of Justice, Instructor for Glassboro State College, Major Crimes Investigator for Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, Instructor for Rowan University and College Instructor for Salem Community College.
The creation of UniverSoul Heart, LLC, a holistic healing and wellness practice, now in its in eleventh year, represents the culmination of Kathleen’s lifelong interest in spirituality, metaphysics, and the holistic human experience. Kathleen says that “although her journey to this destination was circuitous, and often tumultuous, the life experiences were necessary for her soul’s growth and served as fuel for her passion in this work.”
During Kathleen’s 20 years in law enforcement, she relied heavily on her knowledge of psychology and human behavior in order to bring successful resolution to varied assigned cases. As the years passed her interest in humanity and the total human experience deepened, accompanied by an increasingly urgent desire to be of service. Witnessing the devastating effects of crime accelerated a yearning in Kathleen to be of help and assist humanity in any way possible. Because of that newfound awareness, she accepted the guidance she was receiving and decided to follow her intuition to develop the necessary skills to facilitate holistic wellness in others.
Kathleen’s education includes a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Criminology, both of which were conferred by Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She completed extensive post-graduate work in Mental Health Counseling and Transpersonal Psychology. Kathleen is a Reiki Master Teacher in Usui Reiki, Holy Fire III Reiki and Kundalini Reiki. She is also a Certified Past Life Regression Therapist, Certified Crystal Healer, and Animal Communicator. In November 2021, Kathleen became certified as a Plant-Based Nutritionist through Cornell University, and applies her knowledge of the plant-based lifestyle when working with clients interested in making conscious lifestyle choices to improve their wellbeing and reduce their carbon footprint.
Throughout her professional career Kathleen has received awards, accolades and has been recognized for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. In 2019, she was selected as Top Reiki Master of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).
Aside from her successful career, Kathleen is a writer, lecturer, and animal rights advocate, working behind the scenes to improve the lives of all animals. She is passionate about raising awareness of the benefits of Reiki and holistic wellness. As part of that commitment, Kathleen has been a co-host as well as a presenter for the Reiki Rays Annual Global Summit since its inception in 2017. In 2016, she co-founded Northeast PA Reiki Connection (NEPARC), a Reiki community dedicated to promoting unity and harmony among all those who walk the Reiki path.
Kathleen has also been a featured guest on numerous radio programs and hosted “UniverSoul Heart Radio with Kathleen Johnson – Sensible Spirituality for Everyday Living,” on Transformation Talk Radio. She currently co-hosts “Beyond the Reiki Gateway” podcast, available on all podcast platforms. Kathleen has written and published dozens of articles about Reiki and Spirituality, available on Reiki Rays and in Reiki News Magazine. Since 2020, she has also been a writer on Medium.com.
