Mark Miller Named The Transportation Club of Seattle Person of the Year

Mark Miller, Chief Executive Office with MacMillen-Piper, has been named 2019 Person of the Year by The Transportation Club of Seattle (TCS), a nonprofit organization. 

Mark Miller has over 26 years of experience in the Transportation and Maritime Industry. He is currently the owner and CEO of MacMillan Piper and Tacoma Transload, which he acquired earlier this year.

His Senior year in high school, he received a Congressional Appointment to the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point NY. He Graduated from the Academy in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation. 

He is involved in numerous organizations including the Washington Trucking Associations, Transportation Club of Seattle and Transportation Club of Tacoma, where he was president in 2012. He is proud of the strong relationships he has built throughout the years with the Ports, Terminal Operators, Truckers and Labor. He believes that these relationships are vitally important to his success in the transportation industry. Finally, he is a huge Washington Husky supporter!

The Transportation Club of Seattle has been at the center of the Seattle area transportation community for over 108 years. Founded in 1910, the club was formed to encourage the study by members of transportation issues; promote closer business relationships; promote the welfare of its membership as well as to sponsor educational programs and discussions pertaining to traffic and transportation matters. The club holds monthly lunch and learn meetings throughout the year, provides an annual golf tournament and supports the Salvation Army through its annual holiday auction. The Transportation Club of Seattle is a member of the Logistics & Transportation Association of North America.
