MICA, an oasis of culture in the city of Miami

MICA has developed an expansive and talent focused figurative drawing and painting education program, which focuses on developing talented artists worthy of the best museum art across the globe. A cultural and education center designed as a new space for the expansion of the arts (painting, sculpture, music and dance) in Miami has been announced.

“It is a privilege for me to be part of this unique platform, which pushes artists to unlock their greatest potential and can change the trajectory of their personal, professional, and artistic lives.” said Ramiro Sanchez, Artistic Counselor at MICA, and one of the most relevant artists of the figurative art movement.

World Class Artists to Push for Best Figurative Arts Program in the World

The MICA painting wing includes three of the worldwide “leading artists” of the figurative art movement according to Fine Art Connoisseur.

“We set out to make Miami International Center for the Arts an education institution of the highest caliber - every student that is educated in this space should be at the level of the elite artists of the world,” said Martinez Leon, Director of Parallel Education.

The MICA space features 25 Thousand Square feet housing spaces such as

  • A gallery for private and collective exhibitions
  • Private events space
  • Musical concert space
  • Presentation areas
  • Education spaces for classes in painting, sculpting, music and dance

“I'm constantly reminded of the heart and determination it takes to rise to the challenge to become the best of the best. Seeing the talent that will emerge from these walls, in addition to the experience of being in a place that will involve all the arts, hoping to create an environment without precedents in this city, it’s our biggest dream and responsibility.  We are offering those who are seeking the opportunity to develop in the arts a place to experience the highest level of expertise available” – Elkin Canas, Academic Director and Partner.

We invite you to visit the facilities of the Miami International Center for the Arts, which in the words of Teresa Uribe; Gallery Director, is “An oasis for culture in the city of Miami.”
