Does "Great Parenting" Undercut Creative Expressionism by Design

SACRAMENTO, Ca. November 11, 2019. In his newest self-help book, Medal of Valor winner Charles Rivers reveals how to achieve your dreams, goals, and desired net worth by living out your innate purpose. In his latest work, aptly titled Get a F*cking Life, he explains why the parenting techniques of Generations Y–Z have mistakenly exposed their children’s weaknesses by tamping down their spirit of adventure in favor of living a mistake-free life. These parents’ mundane career choices are condemning future generations of college students to debt. The author firmly believes that overly protecting children’s egos in the short run will ultimately lead to crises of depression and loneliness in future adult populations.

Once the children raised by “lawnmower” or “helicopter” parenting mature into adults and face hard times and difficulties, they have a tendency to fold in the face of stress. The author has found that many of us live out our entire lives following a path laid out for us by our parents—a path that takes us away from, rather than towards our dreams, and we never realize it. We are confronted by many obstacles as we try to achieve our goals, and some of these obstacles were placed there by our guardians’ desire to make us appear as mistake-free as possible. In Get a F*cking Life, Charles Rivers explains that sometimes we have to go back to basics and view things through the eyes of a child to remove the clutter put in our heads by our parents, our tribe, and society as a whole.

There are many good lessons in this book, such as learning to forgive and the benefits of actually starting over again without the fear of failure. It is a very good read and it could be exactly what you need to step out of your own way. Mr. Lon Milon, who read Get a F*cking Life and found that it helped with his personal growth, offered this testimonial: “It’s as if you read my life story. They didn’t do it to me, I did it. If only I could erase the past” (Mr. Lon Milon). In this book you will learn that we should not fear our upbringing, or the places, people, or anxieties from the past; rather, we should embrace them, for it is these painful drivers that propel us to success and to actively seeking our destinies. First of all we must understand that we have to leave where we were born—physically, mentally, and definitely emotionally—if we are to ever taste the spectacular individual leanings that make us who we are.
