Mr. Manhole’s commercial misting system, the Mr. Mister, protects workers from silica exposure as they cut, pull, and repair manhole frames, water valve boxes, storm catch basins, perform utility excavations, and more from asphalt and concrete.
Crystalline silica is dangerous for workers and has been known to cause silicosis, respiratory diseases, lung cancer, and even kidney disease.
Mr. Manhole has developed the misting system to work seamlessly with their cutter tools, to control silica exposure for crews and to comply with the regulations set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The system uses water to control dust created by cutting concrete and asphalt. The main components are the spray head which bolts directly to the Model 40 drive motor, the flow control valve, a supply hose, a quick connect fittings mounting bracket, and all fittings and clamps.
