ATLANTA, GA, Oct 20, 2020—New Acquisitions, a promotional sales and marketing firm located in Atlanta, GA, attended the 5th Annual Fun Club Classic Golf Tournament at Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club. Adam Gerald, National Director of Operations of the local marketing firm, teed off for the event on Thursday October 15th. New Acquisitions is committed to giving back to the community and continues to show this as they participate in different charity events throughout the area.
The FUN Club Classic Golf Tournament was put together by the Friends U Need Club, a non-profit organization in Atlanta, whose purpose is to raise funds to benefit tuition costs for FUN Club members, construction costs for the new FUN Club facility, and additional classes for their members. The FUN Club is a program for special needs students that have graduated from the school system and are better suited to attend a day program rather than pursue employment.
According to their website, the FUN Club’s mission is “To enrich the lives of our adults with mild to moderate intellectual/physical disabilities through social interaction with peers, community involvement, adapted educational and physical fitness opportunities and daily living skills.” The program provides at least one activity and lunch for all of their members. These activities range from yoga and music therapy to community service programs and work skills.
Adam Gerald was excited to have the opportunity to participate in an event on behalf of New Acquisitions that benefits such a great cause as well as being able to play a game that he loves at the same time. The National Director of Operations mentioned, “You can just feel the positivity and energy that comes from the FUN Club team and volunteers which makes me believe that the organization is destined for huge success.” The FUN Club relies on donations and sponsorships to help fund the member’s tuition for the program through fundraising events and activities like the FUN Club Classic. New Acquisitions was pleased to be part of the event and hopes to be able to continue to contribute to the local community in the future.
