Luci Perri, MSN, MPH, CIC, FAPIC, ret. AF is proud to announce the opening of her new business, Infection Control Results, (ICR) in its new location in Wingate, N.C. With more than 40 years of nursing, teaching and administrative experience in both military and civilian health care settings, Perri brings a disciplined eye and a comprehensive knowledge base to the field of institutional infection control.
Who is Luci Perri?
Luci Perri began her medical career in New Jersey shortly after receiving her first nursing diploma. For a decade, she advanced through surgical, perioperative and postoperative patient management roles in New Jersey hospitals before joining the U.S. Air Force. For the next 20 years, she progressed from staff to management professional, eventually assuming the duties and title of Infection Preventionist. After obtaining concurrent Master's Degrees in Nursing and Public Health, Perri rewrote the Infection Prevention Program Management Course for the U.S. Department of Defense and was appointed Director of Infection Prevention at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. She is board certified in infection control and is a fellow of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), which recognizes her outstanding contributions to the field of infection control.
Perri's first civilian job was managing Patient Safety as Performance Improvement Manager at Carolinas Medical Center – Union. Since then, she’s provided direct and consultation services regarding infection control, infection control training and education, facilities, staff and program assessments, and monitoring and reporting oversight for CHS and its affiliated health systems. She's won numerous awards for her work and has published nine treatises on infection-related topics, including narratives on the effectiveness of disinfectants and the use of technology in the infection-control field. Since 2013, Perri has split her time providing consulting services to hospital systems and ambulatory surgical centers while also acting as coach, assessor, mentor and even interim Infection Preventionist for hospitals around the country.

At ICR, Perri and her highly trained staff offer on-site assessments, education materials and mentoring opportunities to healthcare professionals in all arenas of the healthcare system. She coaches her clients through the CMS Infection Survey process to ensure both their of that Survey, as well as their capacity to maintain the highest quality of infection control practices. With a focus on Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI's), Perri and her team offer every health care facility the best opportunity to improve their infection control practices and reduce their and their patient’s exposure to HAI's.
