On May 28th, the Houston Association of Lease and Title Analysts will be hosting a Microsoft Excel focused luncheon with returning speaker Kyle Souza from P&P Oil & Gas Solutions. Over the last couple of years, Kyle has served P&P as a Data Specialist, Data Analyst, and Data Manager. During that time P&P has been able to help upstream companies of all sizes better organize and understand their complex land and accounting data.
Last year's well-received presentation by Kyle was on creating a simple dashboard using Excel. This time around the presentation will focus on how to combine multiple spreadsheets together. A lot of times land managers, lease analysts, accountants, and others in the oil and gas industry receive multiple spreadsheets that have information in them that they need to see represented in one table. This presentation will discuss how tables are connected to each other, what formulas to use, and how pivot tables can help you understand your data.

Mr. Souza will also be the main presenter at a half day class on Excel for oil and gas professionals hosted at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Spring, TX titled “Solving Oil & Gas Spreadsheet Conundrums” on June 27, 2019. In that class he will spend 3 hours showing users how he tackles specific problems in spreadsheets that every petroleum exploration and production company deals with.

Figuring out working interests and/or burdens by depth
Creating a dashboard
Preparing for a data conversion
