David Michael Rodgers, a local Ouachita Marine veteran, has embarked on a new, exciting business adventure with his vineyard, Belle Terre. It will be right here in Ouachita Parish, and they will be fully functioning and selling their hybrid wine by Spring 2024.
The vineyard will be fully female operated, starting with their manager, Ashlee Franks. David wanted to bring more life to Ouachita Parish with his vineyard, as there are very few in north Louisiana. Their hybrid grapes from the University of California, Davis are in their possession, and should be planted soon. As of today, the vineyard spans over 3 acres, but they plan to expand to five.
David Michael Rodgers is a retired Marine veteran with many opportunistic businesses. MDR Group is his main business where he conducts most of his ventures. He always allows locals the opportunity for a job before anyone else. David is a compassionate boss, as seen in his different array of enterprises.
