After visiting a baby products store looking for a pram for their second child, Marie Capell noticed the play mats and wondered why they didn’t have them for dogs.
She purchased a cheap one and tested it on their puppy at the time. And it became his favorite toy!
The idea was born and she and her husband started the beginning of a steep learning curve and a long journey to getting their toy to market.
“It’s been so rewarding seeing photos of puppies using and loving their play mat! It’s my absolute favorite part of doing this whole thing and it feels me with joy to think I’m enriching the life of a puppy somewhere out there,” said Marie.
HoundGames has now sold over 10,000 puppy play mats in the USA, with a healthy review rating of 4 and a ½ stars on Amazon!
“We’ve had enormous support from dog owners and countless emails of owners wanting to know what other toys we sell, which is very exciting,” said Marie.
They’re now on their way to expanding the HoundGames catalog to include more quality toys, including their new product, Hide’n’Treat, which she says are like Legos for dogs!
