A Board Certified Allergy/Immunology and Asthma Specialist, Dr. Gandhe is highly trained in the treatment of allergies, asthma, and other immune symptom diseases. She cans perform specific allergy and breathing tests to assess whether certain substances are causing adverse reactions in your body. She can create personalized treatment plans to avoid or eliminate triggering allergens, or offer medications to help alleviate symptoms of allergies.
Dr. Gandhe’s medical journey began in 1998, in India, where she was born and raised. Dr. Gandhe received her medical degree at the Government Medical College and Hospital Nagpur, a renowned medical institute in India. Upon completion, she then traveled to the United States and went on to complete a pediatrics residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. During her residency, she was involved in a research project related to the prevalence of asthma in children residing near sources of petrochemical air pollution. Her experience with this project was very near and dear to her heart, as her own child suffers from asthma and food allergies- helping motivate her as she works to diagnose and treat her patients every day.
Dr. Gandhe also completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, TX, in 2014. After graduating, she worked as an allergist/ immunologist for Marin County. In 2016, she joined the practice at Columbia Asthma & Allergy Clinic.
A believer in treating the whole patient, Dr. Gandhe strongly believes in patient education and considers it a crucial part of comprehensive patient care. Active in her community, Dr. Gandhe can be found sharing her knowledge with her community, talking about food & allergy to pediatricians, nurses and local school teachers; and is affiliated with Sequoia Hospital.
