Powered by Vie’s New Sports & Fundraising Technology Platform, Golfers Can Play Any Course in U.S./Canada From April 1st-30th & Donate, Post Scores, Win Prizes
First Tee –Inland Empire (FTIE) announced today the inaugural “Empire Gives Back” month – a series of golf fundraising activities that tees off on Monday, March 21 with the 3rd Annual FTIE Redlands Country Club Tournament, hosted by 2-time PGA Championship winner and Ryder Cup Captain Dave Stockton – and leads into everyday golfers playing courses, posting scores, winning prizes, donating and having matching funds applied on www.VieForGood.com throughout April.
“We’re thrilled to announce a historic strategic partnership with Vie Inc. that will not only power and help fund donations for our new ‘Empire Gives Back’ month in April, but also change the game for nonprofit organizations (‘NPO’) worldwide, those in need that they serve, and the way in which people play, compete and donate,” said Pam Tyler, Co-Founder and Executive Director of FTIE. “Vie is a better way to give, and a better way to live -- and FTIE is proud to be selected to help launch this new technology and fundraising solution.”
Powered by Vie’s all-new sports and fundraising technology platform, golfers in San Bernardino, Palm Springs, Los Angeles and Orange County – and anywhere in the U.S. and Canada – can play a round of golf on any course, anywhere, anytime from April 1st-30th, post their scores, win prizes, donate to FTIE and have matching funds applied.
“What’s exciting is that while only 88 golfers can play and donate in our 3rd Annual FTIE-Redlands CC tournament fundraiser, thousands more can now participate and donate to FTIE beginning April 1st by signing up at www.VieForGood.com, playing a round of golf at any course, anytime during April, post their scores, win prizes and share their content and experiences with other golfers,” said Dave Stockton. “And this is just the first application … in the near future, Vie’s technology will be applied to pro golf tour events and the charities each supports, to sports and major events beyond golf, and to fundraising for disaster relief, education, healthcare, disease research and other key NPO categories that need fundraising support.”
First Tee – Inland Empire is a youth development organization that empowers 31,000+ Southern California kids and teens through golf school and community outreach programs. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, First Tee creates active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry through to everything they do.
“The First Tee – Inland Empire and the sport of golf are ideal starting points and strategic, foundational building blocks for Vie. Having Good360 come alongside to help the kids makes it even better,” said Steve Schwartz, Vie Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
“FTIE is helping more than 31,000 kids -- many of whom are underserved -- live better lives, make better life decisions, become better students, community members, professionals, leaders, and eventually parents – using golf as the conduit for empowerment and change. We’re so proud to be partnered with FTIE, beyond honored to participate with and alongside a great man and PGA Legend, Dave Stockton, and look forward to raising the FTIE fundraising bar,” explained Schwartz.
Beginning April 1, golfers should play their favorite course, post scores, claim prizes and give to FTIE at www.VieForGood.com, and then post/share pictures and video content there and/or on their own social media platforms.
