On 18th November, 2018, the FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Shanghai Race was held at the Shanghai SAIC International Circuit for the 7th time. PWN supported and participated in this highly anticipated event as a sponsoring partner. This year's WEC Shanghai lineup was led by champion-class driver, Fernando Alonso. Four groups of dozens of cars competed in the same race, and the six-hours of uninterrupted excitement rose the atmosphere for the audience!
The FIA World Endurance Championship is an auto racing world championship organized by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), Formula 1 Championship (F1) and the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) are known as the world’s three major auto racing events.
WEC's first race began in 2012. It was formerly theIntercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC), dating back to 1923, with nearly 100 years of history and an industry benchmark. The Le Mans Series is the core event of the World Endurance Championship. Its global influence is comparable to F1 and from a technical perspective, it is even more exciting than F1. As a brand, its influence is immeasurable. ”
