Flap discs are regularly used in knife making to remove forge scale. They can also be used in metalworking to remove rust, grind edges, deburr, blend weld seams, and more. The ceramic grain outperforms and outlasts other grain alternatives for metalworking. The discs are manufactured with an anti-clogging stearate that reduces heat buildup. The slight angle of the type 29 disc also allows for better contouring and shaping.
