Rising Talent/Cancer Survivor Chalet Brannan Signs with Mavrick Artists & to Present at the 38th Annual Young Artist Awards

Mavrick Artists just signed Chalet Brannan to their roster of talent for theatrical and specialty and over this past weekend, it was announced that Brannan would be presenting at the Young Artists Awards.

Chalet Lizette Brannan, a recent cancer survivor and rising young talent that is making headlines on various projects from starring as the lead in Only a Dream with William Baldwin and Christian Kane to the highly anticipated, much buzzed about psychological horror film Crepitus with Bill Moseley. 

At the start of the year it was announced that she was twice nominated for the 38th Annual Young Artist Awards in these categories: Best Young Actress in a Digital Series or Feature Film for Tinker (also starring Christian Kane) and Best Performance in a Short Film for My Panda. On March 4 YAA announced that Chalet would be a presenter at the awards ceremony March 17, 2017 at the Alex Theatre where it will be broadcast on PBS to over 15 million viewers.  Chalet Brannan is represented by Ted Maier at Mavrick Artists, Publicist Miranda Spigener-Sapon at MS Film PR Literary and The Law Offices of Andrew Moler.

"It is a great honor to represent the films, my co-stars and be a spokesperson for cancer survivors and those through this illness in which one day we’ll have a cure,” says Brannan on accepting her nominations.

Chalet is one of the fasting rising stars in Hollywood and some industry executives are calling her the next “Dakota Fanning”.  Aside from her YAA nominations, she is also a two-time nominee at the up and coming Young Entertainer Awards on March 19th for The Sparrows also starring Kevin Sorbo and the short My Panda; she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema the Feature Occupants and last month she was a presenter at the Widescreen Film and Video Festival as well sharing as a nominee in the twice nominated short The Gate, which won in both categories. Chalet won the Rising Star Award at the Velvet Rope Film Festival for the thriller My Panda.  Brannan is signed for several films and series coming up including:  lead in Only a Dream with William Baldwin and Christian Kane; Junkie II with Christian Kane, recurring in the SyFy Network Series Dystopia this summer with Michael Madsen and a regular in the up and coming sci-fi series Chosen Kin with Jermaine Jackson.  In addition to acting, Chalet is a spokesperson for Make a Wish Foundation and as a cancer survivor runs the Chalet Lizette Brannan Leukemia Foundation.

Established in 1978, the Young Artist Awards (YAA) is Hollywood's longest running awards show that recognizes and honors young talent. Through year-round support, participants are primed for greater achievements in their craft.  The Young Artist Awards is Presented by The Young Artist Awards Academy (YAAA), which was founded by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association's (Golden Globes) recognized historian, Maureen Dragone. The foundation provides young artists with mentorship, experience, and accolades that are otherwise unavailable to young performers. YAA has honored many young artists who have continued to successful adult careers, becoming household names in the entertainment industry. Some notable examples include:  Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Bell, Natalie Portman, Drew Barrymore, Tori Spelling, Winona Ryder, Christina Applegate, Scott Baio, Jaleel White, Alyssa Milano, Justine and Jason Bateman, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Corey Feldman, Sean Astin, and Mario Lopez.
